The Michigan DNR, Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, Bay Mills Indian Community, and Michigan State University will be conducting a lake sturgeon survey on Mullett Lake from July 8-25. The goal of this survey is to assess the lake sturgeon population and the success of stocking efforts.

• Gill nets will be set Monday-Thursday each week
• Nets will be checked every 1-2 hours during the day
• Nets will not be set overnight
• Lake sturgeon will be measured, tagged and released
• Nets will be marked with staff buoys (see image below)

Please be on the lookout for buoys and avoid them while boating!
